Countless people know about the Sheridan County YMCA, but there’s so much more to our Y than one might think. From exercise to education, from volleyball to volunteerism, from preschool to preventive health, the Y doesn’t just strengthen our bodies. It strengthens our community. The Y is the unparalleled cause for strengthening community because we are the community. We are a powerful association of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility.
GIVE YOUR HEART TO A CHILD CAMPAIGN – FALL 2024 (Oct. 22, 2024) — Did you know 1 in 5 YMCA members receives full or partial financial assistance? It’s all made possible through our annual giving campaign. These gifts provide over 1,000 individuals of all ages the opportunity to benefit from Y facilities and programming.

The Y’s Vision 50 Campaign is for the repurposing and remodeling of space therefore allowing opportunities to provide equal access to all of our facility, increase safety in our design and respond to our communities demand. Areas that are involved in this repurposing and remodeling are:
PROJECT COMPLETED 2023: Youth Programs expansion and relocation – Childcare center will be relocated at the back of the existing building. We will also take this opportunity to expand our After School program.
PROJECT COMPLETED 2023: Health & Wellness expansion and relocation – All HW programming will now be located on the first floor and consolidated
in one area. This will allow those with physical limitations access to all classes and equipment.
PROJECT COMPLETED 2023: Arts & Big Horn Programming expansion and relocation – With an enlarged Arts area, it will allow future programming and growth.
IN PROGRESS: Camp – The Sheridan County YMCA has owned Camp Roberts since 2008. Infrastructure projects have surfaced necessitating attention for safety and continuation of programming. IN PROGRESS
