OVERVIEW
For ages 3-13 years old, these lessons are designed to teach participants skills that will be taken with them and used throughout life. The confidence gained with independence in the water is invaluable.
WHAT A TYPICAL CLASS LOOKS LIKE
We try to maintain a minimum of a 1 to 6 ratio with our students and if possible we add instructors to keep ratio down to increase more time practicing with each participant. Each class is catered to the level that each participant is in at the time.

- Come to class a few minutes prior to class to ensure participants don’t miss any instruction.
- We ask that participants sit on the side of the pool in their areas or with parent/guardian on the bench until lessons start.
- Inform the instructor of physical impairments, fear of or bad experiences with the water to ensure a more positive lesson.
ATTIRE & WHAT TO BRING
- Come to class dressed and ready for the pool.
- Clothes, street shoes, diaper bags and other personal items can be stored in the locker rooms; we highly suggest you bring your own lock and leave your valuables at home.
- Clean swimsuit and swim attire is required.
- Towel, goggles (if desired).

Level I- Swim Basics
Increased comfort with underwater exploration and intro to basic self-rescue skills performed with assistance.
- Submerge – bob independently

- Back float – assisted, 10 secs, recover independently
- Roll-assisted

Level II- Water Movement
Encourages forward movement in water and basic, self-rescue skills performed independently.
- Submerge – look at object at bottom

- Back float – 20 secs (10 sec preschool)
- Roll
- Front float – 20 secs (10 sec preschool)

Level III – Water Stamina
Develops intermediate self-rescue skills performed at longer distances than in previous stages.
- Submerge – retrieve object in chest-deep water
- Swim on front – 15 yd (10 yd preschool)

Level IV – Stroke Introduction
Introduces basic stroke technique in front crawl and back crawl and reinforces water safety through treading water and elementary backstroke.

- Dive – sitting
- Resting stroke – elementary backstroke 15 yd

Introduces breaststroke and butterfly and reinforces water safety through treading water and sidestroke

- Resting stroke sidestroke – 25 yd

Level VI/Pre-swim Team – Stroke Mechanics
Refines stroke technique on all major competitive strokes and encourages swimming as part of a healthy lifestyle.

- Back crawl with pull & flip turn – 50 yd
- Dive – standing/starting block
- Resting stroke sidestroke – 50 yd

OVERVIEW
For ages 6 months to 3 years old, these lessons are designed to acclimate young children to being in and around the water. Parents will work with children to get them used to splashing and water around them. We also go over basic safety with children on how to ask to go into water and get in and out of water safely.
- Level A – Water Discovery
Introduces infants and toddlers to the aquatic environment.
- Level B – Water Exploration
Focuses on exploring body positions, blowing bubbles and fundamental safety and aquatic skills.

Typically we have 6 Parent/Child spots to encourage more comfort with young children in the water and help with maintaining the amount of distractions.

These lessons are for swimmers that have gone through all of the group lessons and are looking to prepare for swim team type training. Students will participate in drills and workouts like a practice and learn how to read a workout plan for the pool. They will also focus on technique to master swimming strokes.
